Terms of Service

Section 1.1 - Agreement Formation

By downloading, installing, or using Weeka ("the Application"), you enter into a binding agreement under these Terms of Service ("Terms") with the Developer. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, do not use Weeka.

Section 1.2 - Capacity to Accept

You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction. If a person using the app is under 18, parental or guardian consent to use the Application is necessary.

Section 1.3 - Integration with Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into these Terms. Together, they constitute the complete agreement between you and the Developer regarding Weeka.

Section 2.1 - License to Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Install and use Weeka on devices you own or control
• Create, store, and manage personal event data locally on your device
• Export your data as PDF for printing or sharing via iOS share sheet
• Share activities in PDF format through standard iOS sharing mechanisms

Section 2.2 - License Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the Application
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, if applicable
• Use the Application for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to circumvent any technical limitations
• Redistribute, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Application
• Use the Application to violate any third party's rights

Section 2.3 - Payments

Weeka is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or change the pricing model in future versions, though existing users will be notified of any such changes through App Store update notes.

Section 3.1 - Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content and data you create within Weeka. The Application stores this data locally on your device, and we have no access to, control over, or responsibility for your content.

Section 3.2 - Data Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and legality of data you input
• Any consents necessary for using/storing/distributing of personal data of other personal data subjects
• Backing up your data (the Application provides export functionality)
• Any consequences of data loss due to device failure, technical issues, app deletion, or other causes
• Content you choose to share via PDF export through iOS share sheet
• Ensuring you have the right to share any information contained in exported PDFs

Section 3.3 - No Data Recovery

As a local-first application with no cloud infrastructure, we cannot recover lost data under any circumstances. This also applies to instances of data loss due to device failure or other technical issues. Uninstalling Weeka will permanently delete all associated data.

Section 3.4 - Sharing and Export

Weeka allows you to:

• Generate PDF files containing one week of your events
• Share these PDFs using iOS's standard share sheet
• Print PDFs directly from your device

Please note that once you share a PDF outside the Application, you have the sole responsibility how recipients use, store, or further distribute that information.

Section 4.1 - Application Ownership

Weeka, including its code, design, functionality, and all associated intellectual property rights, remains the exclusive property of the Developer. These Terms grant you only a limited license to use the Application.

Section 4.2 - Feedback and Suggestions

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about Weeka become our property and may be used without compensation to you. By providing feedback, you waive any rights to such contributions.

Section 5.1 - Support Services

Technical support is provided on a best-effort basis through:

• GitHub issue tracking at github.com/weeka/issues
• Email support at support@weeka.app

We make no guarantees regarding response times or issue resolution, though we strive to address critical bugs promptly.

Section 5.2 - Updates and Maintenance

• Updates are distributed through the Apple App Store
• We may discontinue features or the entire Application at any time
• No guarantee of continued compatibility with future iOS versions
• You are not obligated to install updates, but support is only provided for the current version

Section 6.1 - "AS IS" Provision

• MERCHANTABILITY
• FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
• NON-INFRINGEMENT
• ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF CONTENT
• UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION

Section 6.2 - No Professional Advice

Weeka is a personal organization tool. Any time-sensitive events or appointments you track are your responsibility. The Application is not a substitute for professional planning, medical reminders, or critical scheduling systems.

Section 6.3 - Device Compatibility

While designed for iOS devices, we do not guarantee compatibility with all device models, iOS versions, or device configurations.

Section 7.1 - Disclaimer of Consequential Damages

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Lost profits, lost data, or business interruption
• Missed appointments or events due to app failure
• Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the Application (currently $0)

Section 7.2 - Independent Developer Limitation

You acknowledge that Weeka is developed and maintained by an independent Developer, not a corporation, which inherently limits resources for support, updates, and liability coverage.

Section 7.3 - Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Developer from any claims arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Application
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

Section 8.1 - Termination by You

You may terminate this agreement at any time by deleting Weeka from your devices.

Section 8.2 - Termination by Developer

We may terminate or suspend your license immediately if:

• You breach these Terms
• We discontinue the Application
• Required by law or App Store policies

Section 8.3 - Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your license to use Weeka ends immediately
• All data stored locally remains on your device until you delete the Application
• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect

Section 9.1 - Informal Resolution

Before pursuing any formal proceedings, you agree to attempt resolution through direct communication via support@weeka.app.

Section 10.1 - App Store Terms

Your use of Weeka must comply with the Apple App Store Terms of Service and any applicable usage rules.

Section 11.1 - Entire Agreement

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and the Developer regarding Weeka.

Section 11.2 - Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

Section 11.3 - No Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

Section 11.4 - Assignment

You may not assign these Terms. We may assign our rights to any successor or acquirer of the Application.

Section 11.5 - Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective upon publication through App Store updates. Continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance.

Section 12.1 - Age Rating

Weeka is rated 4+ on the App Store, containing no objectionable content.
